Linda J. Romano is a full-time Instructor and Internship Coordinator for the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department who holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  She was the Principal of Romano & Associates from 1986 to 2016 and is recognized as a seasoned consultant with a unique local and national background in juvenile and criminal justice issues, training and evaluation, group work and program management.

A sample of organizations Ms. Romano has provided consultant services to include:  Boston Asian Youth Essential Services, Inc.; Boston Police Department; Circle Solutions (Vienna, VA); Fair and Impartial Policing, LLC; Federal Judicial Center; Latino Health Institute; Lowell Police Department; Massachusetts Half-way Houses, Inc.; MA Department of Youth Services; MA Supreme Judicial Court; MA Trial Court; National Institute of Corrections; Regional Community Policing Institute for New England; and UMASS Donahue Institute for Governmental Services.   Prior to establishing Romano & Associates, Linda managed a federal project establishing national child sex abuse investigation and training guidelines for the National Sheriffs' Association.  She also managed the probation and parole training division for the National Association of State Directors of Law Enforcement Trainers.  For seven years Linda worked as a probation officer at Boston Juvenile Court and prior to that for the Department of Youth Services in secure detention and casework.  Ms. Romano is published and has presented papers on both the state and national level.
