Maria Sobany Advancement Event Coordinator
Institutional Advancement
Maria Sobany was born and raised in Andorra, a little country in the Pyrenees between Spain and France and moved to the States at 17 to pursue higher education and a basketball scholarship and she has been here ever since. Maria graduated in April 2025 from a small school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has lived in three states so far and is looking forward to an experience in New England.
In her free time, she loves a good book or show, going on long walks, and trying new food. Maria's dream is to travel the world and experience the local culture and food.
Fun fact about Maria, Andorra is such a small country, she got to represent the Andorran Basketball Federation in multiple international tournaments.
She is grateful to join a community like Curry College!
