Lynn Abrahams has been working with students with learning differences since 1982, and has been a professor in the PAL program since 1997.  Her guiding mission is to help students become aware of their own particular approach to learning, so that they can become self-sufficient and successful learners, both in the college environment and in the workplace.  She also presents frequent workshops for parents of college students, to help inform and support them during the transition from high school through college.

Lynn's research interests include the experience of college students with learning differences, particularly in their changing relationships with family during the college years; the experience of transfer students in higher education; and the experience of emerging adults and identity development.  In her private practice, she counsels high school and college students throughout the greater Boston area.

Lynn received her bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, and her master's in Moderate Special Needs.  She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Lesley University, specializing in Adult Learning and Development.
