Dr. Laurie Fox has worked with students of all ages as a Reading, Speech, and Learning Specialist, Classroom Teacher, Diagnostician, Counselor, and Professional-level Educational Therapist (ET/P). She has also taught in the Psychology and First Year Studies departments at Curry College and is the recipient of two Excellence in Teaching awards. Teaching foci are Learning Disabilities, Metacognition, Executive Function, Psychology, and First Year Transition.   Research and publication areas have included daily stress, executive function, academic success factors, mutual mentoring, and the professor-student learning relationship. She has been the National Association of Educational Therapists' Study Group Leader for Greater Boston, coordinated Curry's Faculty Peer Support Program grounded in reflective practice, and chairs the Program for Advancement of Learning Communication & Professional Development Committee.

Major publications include Senior Editor of Changing Lives Through Metacognitive Relationships: LD/ADHD and College Success and co-author of the Learning Disabilities Reference (LDR) .  Other research has appeared in peer-reviewed LD, faculty development, educational therapy, and teaching journals plus chapters in two professional books.

Dr. Fox is a contributing book reviewer and editorial board member of the journal, The Educational Therapist.  She is a reviewer for the Journal on Excellence in College Teaching.
