Rich McGary is a United States Marine Corps veteran who brings discipline, integrity, and a strong sense of mission to the Curry College Public Safety Team. Serving as an Infantry Mortarman from 2009 to 2013, he developed exceptional situational awareness, crisis response capabilities, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. His military background instilled in him a deep commitment to accountability, teamwork, and protecting others, principles that continue to guide his professional approach today.

Following his service, Rich dedicated his career to public service and community leadership. He has served in municipal and nonprofit roles supporting veterans and families, where he conducted assessments, coordinated services, and managed complex situations with professionalism and discretion. His academic background, earning degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Emergency Management, and Human Services with Highest Honors, further strengthens his ability to approach safety through practical experience and an evidence based understanding of crisis intervention, emergency preparedness, and conflict resolution.

At Curry College, Rich brings a service first mindset rooted in prevention, partnership, and preparedness. He believes public safety is not only about enforcement, but about building trust, fostering respect, and maintaining a secure campus environment where students, faculty, and staff can thrive. His leadership under pressure, commitment to excellence, and dedication to community well being position him as a strong and reliable member of the Public Safety Team.
