Academic ExcellenceDr. Lise McKenzie holds a Doctorate Degree in Education, a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Certificate in Health and Human Service Management. She holds licensure as an LSWA, LADC I, and LMHC.
Dr. McKenzie is the clinical director (part-time) of the Healthy Girls and Women Institute, a group practice providing outpatient mental health and substance abuse services to individuals and families. She specializes in working with women of color, her treatment approaches include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
Dr. McKenzie is employed by High Point Treatment Center on a per-diam basis as a Mobile Crisis Clinician, providing short-term behavioral health services to youth and adults. In 2023 she held a faculty position at Eastern Nazarene College, providing instruction to 1st year students working towards earning a Masters in Family Therapy.
Currently Dr. McKenzie is employed full time by the Department of Transitional Assistance ( DTA). As the Director of the Quincy DTA office she supports staff in working towards the Department’s mission to empower low-income individuals and families in meeting their basic needs.
Dr. McKenzie has also held positions, with BAMSI, the Department of Mental Health, the Department of Children and Families, and Department of Youth Services. She has a great understanding of behavioral health services and a genuine enthusiasm for working within systems of care towards the betterment of individuals and families.
