Jerold Touger's Ph.D. is in condensed matter physics. He has been actively involved in physics education research for over twenty years and has twice chaired the American Association of Physics Teachers' committee for this field. His work has been published in major national and international journals. He has served as a consultant for the development of high school physics curricula and for the development of courses at other colleges and universities, including Ohio State University and the University of New Hampshire.
Prof. Touger is the author of Introductory Physics: Building Understanding, a physics textbook published in December 2004 by John Wiley & Sons, a leading academic and scientific publisher. In the spring of 2005, he was the recipient of Curry's Faculty Professional Development Award.
