Academic ExcellenceDr. Kathryn (Kate) Cullinane Whalen joins Curry College School of Nursing as an Assistant Professor. She has a BSN from Boston State College, and her MSN and DNP from Regis College. Prior to this current appointment at Curry College, Dr. Whalen’s clinical nursing career was concentrated in critical care, intermediate care, and emergency nursing with an emphasis in trauma care. During that time, her professional employment affiliations included Boston Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital and South Shore Hospital.
She has concentrated her teaching interests in pharmacology and leadership with a special focus in healthcare simulation.
Dr. Whalen has taught in ASN, RN-BS, Traditional BSN, Accelerated and MSN programs. She has most recently taught at Quincy College and as an adjunct faculty at Curry College.
