Curry College strives to promote a welcoming environment for pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex – including pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions – in education programs or activities. Curry College is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions.

Students are not required to inform faculty, staff, or any administration member of their pregnancy or parenting status unless they seek modifications. The College wishes to create an environment that encourages voluntary sharing of this information so that the College can support students’ physical and mental health. Curry College may provide reasonable academic modifications for eligible individuals who are pregnant, or experiencing pregnancy related conditions such as pregnancy, childbirth, termination of pregnancy, or lactation; medical conditions related to pregnancy, childbirth, termination of pregnancy, or lactation; or recovery from pregnancy, childbirth, termination of pregnancy, lactation, or related medical conditions.

Students who wish to receive modifications related to pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions should contact Jerimiah Bergstrom, Director of Accessibility Services at (617) 333-2385 or jerimiah.bergstrom@curry.edu.

Employees wishing to receive modifications related to pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions should contact Human Resources at 617-333-2013 or hr@curry.edu.
