This year, the 51st Annual Curry College Awards Recognition Ceremony was held as a two-week social media campaign to honor the amazing accomplishments of the 2019-20 academic year. The annual awards recognized students for contributions to the College, including notable achievements in academics, athletics, arts, service, and social justice. In the multimedia series #CurryCollege2020awards, award winners were described as a “pinnacle of academic excellence,” and praised for “always going beyond the assignment.”

Technology Students Act as Expert Consultants and Present Best Practices to Aid Tech Operations at Franciscan Children’s’ Hospital

To help optimize its IT operation, the Franciscan Children's Hospital partnered with a group of Information Technology students from Curry to provide best practice recommendations in three areas: server management, system image/backup software, and security. The Senior Seminar class also produced a design for a mobile parking application that helps hospital security oversee parking assignments accordingly.

To protect an elderly population known to have fragile immune systems, assisted living facilities quickly enacted strict no-visitor policies amid the initial outbreak of the coronavirus in February. With 260 residential communities, Five Star Senior Living knew they had to do something to help their residents stay connected to loved ones.
