*PLEASE NOTE: All Commencement Weekend events have been postponed, and physical celebrations will be held at later dates. We share the disappointment of our seniors and their families, and wish that it were possible to hold our ceremony and related weekend events, including our Nurses Pinning, Family Reception and Senior Celebration, as planned. However, we believe that given the uncertainty around public health and restrictions extending until early May at this time, it would be inadvisable to plan to hold events of this magnitude on the original dates (May 16-17). For the latest on the College's response to COVID-19, please visit our Coronavirus Information page, and for status of events, visit our Coronavirus FAQ page.
Welcome to the official site for the 2020 Curry College Commencement Ceremony information, and congratulations to the Class of 2020! Commencement week is a special time for students to get together with parents, family, faculty and staff to celebrate and reflect on everything they have accomplished during their time at Curry College.
Each graduate can request up to eight seats in the pavilion area and up to 10 additional seats in the lawn area via myCurry. If you need more than 18 tickets we will put your name on a waiting list. If seats become available, we will send the extra tickets to you.
All covered seating will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We strongly suggest that you arrive prior to 9:00 a.m. Any additional guests are more than welcome to join us in the lawn seating area to watch the ceremony live and on large venue screens.
To maintain the pomp and circumstance of Commencement, children in attendance will be expected to remain in their seats for the duration of the ceremony.
*Dogs, balloons, and alcohol are not permitted at the Xfinity Center.
Guests requiring accessible seating should contact Jeremiah Rex, Director of Disability Services, at email@example.com by May 1. For any additional questions about accommodations please call the Office of Disability Services at (617) 333-2385.
In order to participate in Commencement, a student needs to meet all of the following criteria:
*Master's degree candidates must have completed all degree requirements, and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Students who have any questions regarding eligibility to participate in Commencement should contact their academic advisor.
Family and Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive prior to 9:00 a.m. to allow plenty of time for seating before the procession begins. The procession of graduates begins promptly at 9:30 a.m.
A professional photographer will be present for both the Nurses Pinning and the Commencement ceremonies to capture the moment students are pinned and awarded their diplomas. Full-color proofs of the photos will be emailed to students at no charge approximately one week after Commencement.
Personal videotaping of the ceremony, as a whole and/or isolated segments, will not be accommodated due to space limitations and
to respect the viewing needs of the seated audience.
Friends and families can also view commencement from home via livestream.
Service animals are permitted inside the venue during events. Only registered working animals are permitted.
Pre-order flowers for your special graduate today! All online orders will be available for pickup on site the day of commencement. To retrieve your order, please stop by our booth located conveniently at the entrance to commencement before the ceremony begins.
If family and guests will be coming from out of town for Commencement activities and need local lodging accommodations, please see our list of area hotels for contact information and reservations near the Curry campus. Note that there may be more options closer to the Xfinity Center site not included on our list, if preferred.
