Giordana Basta Director, Acardi Early Steps Literacy Initiative
Academic Affairs
Dr. Giordana M. Basta is the Director of the Aicardi Early Steps Initiative. Prior to this role at Curry, she has served as Education faculty member, Department Chairperson, and Assistant Provost. She is a recognized expert in social-emotional learning (SEL). With experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and literacy leader across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, she is dedicated to advancing equitable, student-centered education. Dr. Basta’s research focuses on social-emotional learning and its impact on teaching and learning.
