Academic ExcellenceSarah Shane joined Curry as the Director of Academic Advising in June 2016 with over 18 years of experience in academic advising. Sarah has a BA in Psychology from James Madison University, an MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University. Ms. Shane has extensive experience advising and counseling students, creating and implementing advisor training programs for faculty and staff, and developing strategic policies and procedures to enhance student success outcomes. Sarah has over a decade of experience in curriculum development and assessment as a long-term adjunct faculty and thesis advisor at Lesley University in developmental education, English Composition, Creative Writing, First Year Seminar, and Prior Learning Assessment. In her spare time, she enjoys schlepping her two boys all over New England for lacrosse games, gymnastics meets, robotics and dance competitions, and mocha chip ice cream.
