Academic ExcellenceEvelyn Ugwu-George continues at Curry College as Assistant Professor, General Education and Information Literacy Librarian at the Levin Library. She has been at Curry College since 2006. She has an MLIS degree from the University of Rhode Island and an M.Ed from the University of Oregon. She also holds a B.A, Literatures in English from the University of Nigeria and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology Design from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has been involved in integrating information literacy skills into the First-Year Program, and more recently in interpreting and implementing the General Education outcomes in relation to Information Literacy. Her goal is to develop a program with lessons designed to encourage critical thinking, self-directed learning, and systematic progressive assessment, a key part of students' educational experience.
