A Career of Care, A Life of Meaning: How Devin Sadlers ’13 Found His Calling - and His Family - Through Curry College

While working in a medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Boston during the devastating 2013 Marathon bombings, Devin Sadlers '13 was overwhelmed by the intensity and gravity of the tragedy as critically injured patients poured into his unit. Yet, amidst the weight of it all, he experienced a moment of clarity—he knew that nursing was his true calling and that he was exactly where he was meant to be.

Students Showcase Research, Creativity, and Passion at Annual Academic Forum

Over 70 students proudly presented their scholarly achievements and creative projects at the annual Academic Forum held in Katz Gymnasium. The Academic Forum highlights a diverse array of student-led projects, ranging from scientific research and graphic design to studies in the media. Under the guidance of faculty mentors, students presented their work through posters, presentations, and digital displays.

Throughout her childhood, Melanie Bohane '19, M.Ed. '20 struggled to find the motivation needed to complete her academic tasks. In those moments, Melanie was inspired her to pursue a career in teaching, with the goal of providing others with the same kind of guidance and understanding.

Quincy Miller, Vice Chair, President, and COO of Eastern Bank, will serve as the 2025 Curry College Commencement Speaker on May 18 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass. Miller has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as a “Power 50 Most Influential and Impactful Leaders in Boston,” multiple years as “The 100 Most Influential People in Boston” by Boston Magazine, and as an inaugural member of the GK100 “Most Influential People of Color in Boston” by Get Konnected.

For Charlie Morgan ‘26, Disney is more than just a place of nostalgia, it's the setting for a dream come true. Thanks to the Disney College Program, Charlie now works as a concierge at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. The 2024-2025 season will go down in history for the Curry College Men’s Hockey team. After breaking multiple records throughout the regular season, the #1 nationally-ranked Colonels achieved what was once a pipe dream—securing a spot in the NCAA Division III Frozen Four for the first time in program history.

Einstein Bros. Bagels officially opened on the Curry College Milton campus on Monday, March 24. Located in Kennedy Academic Building, Einstein's offers a variety of bagels with cream cheese, flavored coffee, blended beverages, and more.

A cohort of Curry students recently returned from a faculty-led trip to New Orleans as part of the newly created course, Music and the Call for Justice. Developed by Associate Professor of Music Dr. Emily Howe, this course aims to use music as a lens to think through some of the pressing issues of our times in relation to identity, the environment, and justice.
