Welcome to Accepted Student Day! We are excited to have you and your families join the Curry College community to celebrate your acceptance on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Have you already decided to join the Curry College community? If so, stop by the enroll table under the check-in tent by the Student Center on Accepted Student Day (or enroll online below) to pay your enrollment deposit. We have a special gift for anyone attending Accepted Student Day who officially enrolls on or before April 6. Don’t leave without your Colonel Swag Bag full of fun Curry swag to get you geared up for the fall!

Tours of North Campus

9:15 - 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Leaving every 15 minutes from the tent located along Atherton Street (President’s Office)

Follow signs to the Campus Tour Tent where a student ambassador will take you on a walking tour that includes one of our many residence halls, as well as our award-winning, student-run radio station, WMLN-FM 91.5. If you prefer to be in front of the camera, visit our television studio in the Hirsh Communication Center. A must see is the Learning Commons and The Science and Research Center. While you are on the Academic Quad, you’ll also want to check out the Levin Memorial Library, Academic Support Zone, and the Academic and Performance Center.

Have you already been on a campus tour, but would like to see another Residence Hall? If you would like to see another room on the North Campus, be sure to stop by the tour tent for details on rooms available to view throughout the afternoon.

Nursing Labs

Kennedy Academic Building (South Campus)
If you are accepted to our School of Nursing, be sure to visit the recently renovated Nursing Simulation facilities, located on the second floor of the Kennedy Academic building. There, you will be able to see the health assessment lab, the simulation lab, and the nursing resource computer lab, and speak with students currently enrolled in the School of Nursing.

Curry Radio – WMLN-FM 91.5

9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Academic Quad (North Campus)
Stop by Curry’s student-run FM radio station to see how you can become involved in radio broadcasting as a Curry student. WMLN will also be broadcasting live throughout the day from Westhaver Park, in front of the Student Center.

In March, Curry unveiled a new, state-of-the-art Esports lounge, providing an opportunity for Curry students to engage in collaborative gaming experiences. Visit the new Esports Lounge and learn more about competitive gaming at Curry.

Student Center

Enjoy continental breakfast with faculty, staff, coaches, parents, and students. Speak with faculty from the academic programs you are interested in exploring. Learn more about why Curry is committed to helping you achieve excellence in all that you do! Don’t forget to head up to the second floor for a meet & greet with the Diversity Center, and to tour our Fitness Center. Be sure to hand out your personalized business cards to members of the Curry Community you meet throughout the day.

Student Involvement and Services Fair
Miller Field House (North Campus)

Stop by the Student Involvement and Services Fair in the Miller Field House and meet with representatives from a variety of student run clubs and organizations, as well as representatives from the various Student Services offices campuswide. Don’t forget to pick-up your free Curry College Class of 2027 t-shirt while at the fair!

Financial Aid One-on-One Meetings
Academic and Performance Center, Smart Café (North Campus)

Meet with a financial aid counselor to discuss the aid application process, check on the status of your financial aid, or review your financial aid package. You can also discuss next steps, including securing your enrollment or alternative financing options.

Diversity Center Meet & Greet
Student Center, Diversity Center, Second Level

The Diversity Center (or ODI) support student success through programs and shared spaces that bring awareness to, honor, and uplift the wide range of students’ identities at Curry College. Though open to all who strive for equity and inclusion, the Diversity Center especially serve students who identify as historically underrepresented by way of ethnicity, race, gender, religion, documentation status, socioeconomic class, first-generation (in higher education), and LGBTQ+ identities. Stop by and connect with students and staff to learn more!

Student Financial Services Presentation
45-minute sessions, Academic and Performance Center, Keith Auditorium (North Campus)

Learn your options for financing a Curry College education in this presentation. Representatives from Student Financial Services will take you step-by-step through the development of a financial plan to cover educational expenses. The session will also cover strategies for student account payment, such as applying for need-based financial aid and arranging for a monthly tuition payment plan.

PAL & SAIL: Supporting Neurodiverse Students
45-minute sessions, Hafer Academic Building, Parents’ Lounge (North Campus)

Learn how Curry supports neurodiversity through its internationally-recognized Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL), a program that supports students with diagnosed learning differences like dyslexia, ADHD, and executive function difficulties–and our newest program, Social Achievement in Learning (SAIL)–supporting students with social and/or emotional challenges.

Career Development & Study Abroad Opportunities for Curry Students
45-minute sessions, Academic and Performance Center, Room 124 (North Campus)

Learn how The Center for Global and Career Services assists students with career development through internships, resume writing, career professionalism, special career planning events and more. Also learn how you can study abroad in places like England or France, or participate in short-term, faculty-led options in places around the world.

C.A.R.E.S.: Support & Development for a Seamless Transition to College
45-minute sessions, Hafer Academic Building, Room 122 (North Campus)

In this session, students and families will have an opportunity to learn about the collaborative efforts between Academic and Student Affairs in our new C.A.R.E.S. (Concern, Assessment, Response, Evaluation, Support) program as well as other student development programming and academic support resources. Our newly designed C.A.R.E.S. model works to ensure real time interventions and support to students struggling in their transition to higher education.

Listen to a panel of young alumni as they share their Curry experiences and how their Curry education prepared them for their professional lives.

Family Session Option 2:
Caretaking to Coaching: Anticipating the Transition to College

Come and join the discussion as we consider the changes both you and your student face as high school comes to an end and the college experience begins. We’ll take a look at how you can help your student get ready for college success, as well as how to prepare for your new role as the parent of a college student.

Academic success is a collaborative effort among students, faculty, staff — and often, families. This presentation will explore roles and responsibilities each party has in the educational process and how families can support their students’ success.

First-Generation Student Experience

Presented by: Jeannette Buntin, Assistant Vice President of Student Engagement and Diversity

Join members of the First-Gen Committee, who will introduce you to all the resources and tools available for new First-Generation students and families. They’ll also answer any questions you may have, and you will learn about the factors that have made First-Generation college students successful and learn ways to apply it to your own situation to prepare for college.
