Academic ExcellenceDuring regular business hours, only the Office of the General Counsel is authorized to accept service of legal documents, including subpoenas, warrants, court orders, and notices to appear on behalf of Curry College.
Outside of regular business hours, the Office of Public Safety is authorized to receive service of process on behalf of the College. The Office of Public Safety will immediately notify the Office of the General Counsel.
If approached by a process server, you should “refuse service,” meaning tell the process server that you cannot accept receipt of the legal document on behalf of the College.
Then, promptly inform the process server to contact the Office of the General Counsel directly at 617-333-5193, abra.francois@curry.edu, or the Office of Public Safety at 617-333-2232 if outside regular business hours.
If you find that you have received a legal document relating to College business (such as a subpoena, a complaint, a hearing notice, or any document or notice relating to a legal proceeding) by mail or otherwise, please notify the Office of the General Counsel immediately and we will arrange to pick up the documents from you.
