Early Intervention

Early Care and Education is a concentration of the Education major

Education majors who wish to specialize in an area of interest can do so by completing the requirements of their perspective majors and any additional coursework within a concentration.  Students in majors other than Education complete the courses within the concentration and then will apply for an Education minor in the specialized area.

The Early Intervention concentration prepares students to work in family-focused service organizations that support and promote the growth and development of children at risk of or with a diagnosed developmental delay (birth to age three) and their families.  A required field experience or internship provides hands-on opportunities to link theory to practice.
