Curry Colege Rugby player kicks a ball to his teammates

Curry College has a growing club sports department for all interests and skill levels. Curry club sports programs offer students the opportunity to participate in competitive athletic programs without the time commitment required to participate in a varsity intercollegiate athletic program. There are no cuts on any team and equal playing time is encouraged. No previous experience is required to join either!

Club sports contribute to the student's physical, emotional, and social growth experience. It’s a great way to meet other students on campus who have similar interests and motivations.

Club Sports Currently Offered Include:

  • Collision Dynasty (Dance Team)
  • Dance Team
  • Equestrian
  • Golf
  • Karate
  • Men's Ice Hockey

All of our clubs compete against other regional colleges and universities and in most cases are part of their respective national organization.

Collision Dynasty

Collision Dynasty was first established at Curry as a club but through their dedication and growth, they have taken the next step to become a club sport. The purpose of Collision Dynasty is to promote the diversity and culture in the dance world throughout the community. This club gives students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to share their cultural dance background while learning about others. They dance to Soca, Hip Hop, African, Afro-Caribbean, Latin, and much more.

Dance Team

The Dance Team has been on campus since 2015 and performs jazz/pom and other various dance styles on campus in addition to competing in regional dance competitions sponsored by the Universal Dance Association (UDA), which governs both dance and cheerleading competitions.

Equestrian

The Equestrian Club is one of our original club sports and has been on campus for years. The club provides a place where equestrians can come together in their shared enthusiasm for horses and riding. The club provides access to horseback riding opportunities at all levels. Members have the opportunity to take lessons at the Canton Equestrian Center and participate in local riding shows and scrimmages. Members take lessons weekly and learn how to safely ride and care for the horses.

Golf

The Curry College Golf Club (CCGC) provides a club where all students interested in the game of golf can come and play and improve their playing abilities. The CCGC promotes knowledge about the game of golf, grows interest in the game, and provides members with the tools to improve their skills on and off the golf course. They practice at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton where they receive special pricing to utilize the course. Members of the club have the chance to compete in regional tournaments throughout the year.

Karate

Curry’s Karate Club was established in the Fall of 2021 and holds training twice a week in the Fitness Center. The class is taught by Patriots/NFL Hall of Famer and 7th degree black belt, Andre Tippett. Students who are dedicated to the class receive a Curry Gi to wear.

Men's Ice Hockey

2022 will be the inaugural year for the Men’s Ice Hockey team here at Curry! They will be competing in the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) and are recognized by the ACHA.
