Studio Arts Major and MinorStudents with an Art History minor gain a foundational understanding of the history of art and architecture. The program requires a combination of broad survey courses and classes in specific fields and periods. Overall, students explore visual images and architecture in their broader social contexts, allowing students to understand how social, cultural, and intellectual factors help inform the discipline.
With a minor in Art Therapy, you can gain the skills to work immediately in a community arts organization. Alternatively, the program also prepares students for graduate study, which, coupled with certification, expands job opportunities to include careers in hospitals, schools, community clinics, or private practice.
Art Therapy MinorStudents can declare a minor in dance to complement a major in any other area of study. This combination can lead to graduate study and/or careers in such fields as dance/health education, expressive therapies, or arts administration.
