4. English Proficiency – One of the following test scores:

  • TOEFL: 80 iBT
  • IELTS: 0

Students with TOEFL score of 76, iBT or IELTS score of 5.5 or higher will be considered for admission at the discretion of Curry College.  (Students who do not get a required score are encouraged to explore alternate study in China to further develop English language skills and be reconsidered for admission to Curry at a later date.)

  • SAT: At least a 400 scored on both Evidence-based Reading and Writing SAT scores can be submitted in lieu of the TOEFL or IELTS.

    5. A personal essay expressing your interest and motivation for participating in the 2+2 or 3+1 program.

    6. One written recommendation from a faculty member familiar with your work and your potential.

    7. Application Deadline: Fall Semester: June 15 or Spring Semester: October 15 (later applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis).

    • 2+2 Dual Degree: Students need to study at a Chinese university for two years and have a US equivalent GPA obtained from a Chinese University above a 2.5 (B-) and then study at Curry College for another two years. Applicants can receive up to 60 transfer credits from Curry College if the GPA from a Chinese University is above a B- (2.5).
    • 3+1 Bachelor’s Degree: With a degree from a junior college in China, students can get a bachelor’s degree at Curry College after studying at Curry College for 1 year. Students can transfer up to 90 credits to Curry College if the US equivalent GPA obtained from the junior college is above B- (2.5).

    Visa Requirements are as follows:

    Students meeting the minimum admission requirements, including a GPA above a B- (2.5) from a Chinese University for transfer credits supporting a 2+2 or 3+1 degree option will receive a scholarship in the amount of $22,000 applied to tuition costs.

    Deposit

    An enrollment deposit of $500.00 USD can be paid to Curry College online via curry.edu/enroll.
