Curry College students aren’t afraid of putting in the hard work when it comes to taking hold of the future. But that doesn’t mean fending for yourself. Your Curry College academic advisor will be by your side even before classes start, showing you how to tailor your education to match your own goals and interests.
Curry’s academic advisers are there to help you:
Create your schedule. You’ll meet your adviser before registering for classes every semester. If you’re undecided, they can help you choose a major; they’re also available to answer questions you might have about required courses, graduation requirements and other details.
Participate in your education. We want you to dive into your classes—and that means getting to know your learning style, goals and areas for improvement. Together, we’ll develop strategies and find resources to make you a lifelong learner.
Get involved! There’s a lot more to Curry than going to class. We’ll encourage you to participate in extracurricular activities and work closely with your faculty advisor, who can be a valuable mentor.
Your Curry College advisor will be one of the first people you talk to on campus. Once you tell us that you plan to enroll at Curry, we’ll be in touch to register you for some classes before Summer Orientation.
We’ll meet with you in person during Orientation to complete your registration for your first semester, or you’ll speak with an advisor by phone. Once Orientation is complete, you’ll be assigned to an academic advisor who will work with you for your whole time at Curry—giving them a chance to know you, and what you want to accomplish.
