Orientation is intended to provide important information and resources to you and your family in order to prepare you for your arrival to campus in the fall. The 2021 Orientation program consist of both virtual and in-person experiences which will highlight academic, financial, student engagement, diversity, and support resources available to you at Curry.
The virtual Student Orientation experience launched on June 2 with the goal to provide you with the essential items that need to be completed prior to the start of the fall semester, assist you with learning more about the campus and resources, and connect you with fellow students to help set you up for success once you arrive on campus.
We also launched our virtual Family Orientation experience on June 10. Whether your student is a resident, commuter, transfer, athlete, PAL participant, nursing major, member of the Black Student Union, or not quite sure where they belong just yet – they fit here at Curry! We recognize that while your student will be the one living, eating, and learning on-campus; you will want to be informed and engaged with your student’s experience.
If you have any questions or did not receive an email from FYE@curry.edu with information on how to access the virtual Student and/or Family Orientations, please don’t hesitate to email us or call 617-333-2256.
We are excited to welcome you and your family to campus for an in-person Orientation event in July!
We'll celebrate your acceptance/deposit, meet some of your classmates and members of the Curry Community, and leave you and your loved ones with a good feeling about returning to Curry in August.
On campus Orientation will consist of a half day program (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.) including a Welcome, time with your Orientation Leader/classmates getting to know one another and learning more about the campus, short resource sessions, and culminates with food trucks on Westhaver Park before you depart campus!
Family members will also have an opportunity to attend their own specialized Orientation program which runs concurrently to the Student Orientation sessions. Families can expect to hear from staff about the resources available to your student and attend a resource fair before meeting up with your student on Westhaver Park to enjoy the food trucks.
