We are excited to announce the launch of our online Orientation modules! As you know, we made the decision back in May to shift our Orientation program online for the summer, due to the impact of COVID-19.
For our incoming students, the online Orientation modules will provide you with information and resources to prepare you for your arrival on campus in the fall. You can access the online Orientation experience by visiting curry.edu/orientation2020. We ask students to complete the module by June 30, 2020 so that you are aware of important information prior to selecting your fall courses.
Information about Advising & Registration:
All new students will have the opportunity to meet individually with an academic advisor virtually over the summer. Incoming students will receive an email, in their Curry email account from an academic advisor, inviting them to schedule an appointment to select fall courses, review their academic goals, and answer any questions about academics at Curry College.
Appointments are expected to begin the week of July 13 and will only be available to students who have completed all online modules and the New Student Checklist. Please be aware a new module will be released the week of July 6 specific to advising and registration. Students will receive communication once the module is ready.
For our families, this experience will provide you with information and resources pertinent to your experience as new members of the Curry community. You too can access the online Orientation experience by visiting curry.edu/familyorientation2020.
Students must complete the registration form found on the New Student Checklist, on the myCurry portal. This form provides us with details as well as your intention to complete the online Orientation experience.
Following completion of the online program, students will begin registering for fall courses with support and guidance from Academic Affairs in early to mid-July. We are also launching additional virtual opportunities for student and family engagement, starting the week of July 6, 2020.
These opportunities include virtual sessions with the Orientation Leaders/Coordinators, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs (including academic department sessions about their major), Athletics, Student Financial Services, Study Abroad, Young Alumni & Family Council panels, and the Center of Career Development, among others.
Questions about Orientation may be directed to Student Affairs at 617-333-2256 or email@example.com. Our community and student leaders are looking forward to seeing you online over the coming weeks.
Please make sure to check your Curry College email regularly for updates and information! We hope you and your families are staying healthy and safe during this challenging time in all of our lives. We look forward to virtually welcoming you to Curry, and we can’t wait to see you on campus in person soon!
