Ismae Bailey ’21 to become newest Death Detective in Las Vegas

Ismae Bailey, a senior with a double major in Forensic Science and Biology, has worked diligently to achieve her dream of becoming a forensic pathologist. Between a full schedule of academics, student government, and community service work, Ismae returns home to Las Vegas every summer and winter break to shadow the Coroner at the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Students Gain Valuable Global Experience in Faculty-Led Trip to Portugal

For the first time since 2019, Curry College launched its faculty-led travel course to Lisbon, Portugal over spring break. The Public Health course, led by Associate Professor of Public Health and Wellness Dr. Melissa Weinstein, included 14 Curry students representing a mix of Public Health, Nursing, and Biochemistry majors.

Curry College’s Forensic Science Program and Training Center is teaming up with the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute based in Georgia. The nonprofit institute works with experts and college programs to help them assist families and law enforcement with unsolved homicides, missing persons, and kidnapping cases.

Curry College is pleased to announce the establishment of the Eugene W. and Gloria Landy Dean of the School of Nursing. Continuing their legacy as generous donors to the College, Sam Landy '82 and his family, their company, UMH Properties, Inc., and the Eugene W. and Gloria Landy Foundation made a $1 million gift to establish the deanship.

This summer, Biochemistry major Kat Neal ’23 is getting real-world research experience through the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University. The Building Diversity in Biomedical Sciences program offers a ten week, mentored research experience for students interested in pursuing future PhD or MD/PhD studies.
