Every vehicle on the Curry College campus must have a permit or guest pass; violators will be subject to fines and towing at owners’ expense.

Parking Permits are available to purchase every August prior to the start of the fall semester and the permits are valid from September 1 through August 31. To obtain your parking permit you must come to the Public Safety Office with your driver’s license, vehicle registration, and for out-of-state vehicles you must bring proof of insurance. The parking permit fee will automatically be applied to your Student Financial Account.

Please note that we cannot accept payment forms of any kind in the Public Safety Office at this time.

Parking enforcement is conducted to increase campus safety, ensure that emergency vehicles can access campus and that fire lanes and gates are clear, and for the individuals who have purchased permits and are adhering to the rules are not being penalized by those individuals who did not purchase permits and do not adhere to the rules.

The Department of Public Safety does not benefit monetarily in any form from issuing parking tickets and we do not maintain any quota or set number of parking tickets to issue. The Curry College campus has ample parking available and combined with a robust on-campus shuttle program there is room for everyone!

During the first two weeks of the Fall Semester the Department of Public Safety will implement a grace period focused on education. During this two-week period Public Safety will issue only warnings for most* parking violations and use the opportunity to educate the Curry Community about the parking rules and regulations.

*Handicap parking without proper placards, blocking fire lane or fire gate, and obstructing flow of traffic will be excluded from the warning only and will still be issued monetary fines

Once a parking ticket is issued, the violator has (10) days to file an appeal, if no appeal is received after the 10-day time the parking fine will automatically be billed to your student account.

Parking fines will not be removed after the 10-day period for any reason.

If you are not a Curry student and have received a parking ticket, you may pay that ticket here or you may also file an appeal. Non-Curry students who fail to pay for parking fines after the appeal window has closed may receive additional fines and loss of parking privileges on campus.

Submit a Parking Ticket Appeal

The status of your appeal will be provided to the email used on the appeal form.

As described in the Curry College Student Handbook, the Department of Public Safety adheres to a progressive discipline model when it comes to parking enforcement.

If a student receives (3) or more parking tickets in any one academic semester, they may be referred to office of Student Conduct and they will be advised that they are approaching “Tow List” status.

Once a student receives (6) parking tickets in any one academic semester, they will be put onto the “Tow List” and their vehicle will be subject to towing for the next violation. The student will be responsible for all associated fees and costs as it pertains to towing and storage of their vehicle.

Once a vehicle has been towed and returns to campus, it will remain on the “Tow List” for the duration of that academic semester. Any subsequent parking violations will result in a parking ticket and the vehicle being towed; however, no student will receive more than (10) parking tickets in any one academic semester.

After the 10th violation, a student will lose their parking privileges for the remainder of the academic year, there will be no refunds for parking permits.

Curry College and the Department of Public Safety contract with Blue Hills Towing for the purpose of parking enforcement.

Each academic semester a Tow List will be established by the Department of Public Safety for students that have received at least (6) parking tickets in any one academic semester. Once a student has received their 6th parking ticket their vehicle will be towed off campus, and the student will be responsible for all associated costs and fees for towing and storing that vehicle until they can retrieve it.

A student will remain on the tow list for the duration of that academic semester and for each subsequent parking ticket until a maximum of (10), the student’s vehicle will be towed off campus and again the student will bear the responsibility of all associated costs and fees for towing and storing that vehicle until they can retrieve it.

After receiving 10 parking tickets in any one academic semester, the student will lose their parking privileges for the remainder of that academic year. No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for parking permits for these students.

The Tow List will be reset after each academic semester, except for any student who has received 10 parking tickets.

For purposes of the Tow List, it does not matter if a parking ticket was paid or appealed unsuccessfully, parking fines are automatically billed to student financial accounts. The purpose of the Tow List is to limit the volume of tickets students accrue in any one academic semester.

Any parking ticket that is appealed successfully will not count towards the Tow List.
