President Jay Gonzalez
Since joining Curry in 2023, Jay Gonzalez is leading the College through a dynamic period of transformation and growth as its 15th president—and its first Hispanic leader. Under his leadership, and through a new three-year strategic plan, Curry launched the Curry Commitment—the only job guarantee program of its kind in Massachusetts—reinforcing the College’s dedication to student success.
Tom Aicardi '87, Hon. '25
Thomas Aicardi serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Triumvirate Environmental, where he has been a key leader since joining the organization in 1989. Tom serves on the Board of Advisors at Triumvirate Environmental, the Board of Advisors at Curry College, and the Board of Advisors at Life Science Cares (LSC).
Dr. Giordana Basta
Dr. Giordana M. Basta is the Director of the Aicardi Early Steps Initiative. Prior to this role at Curry, she has served as Education faculty member, Department Chairperson and Assistant Provost. She is a recognized expert in social-emotional learning (SEL). With experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and educational leader across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, she is dedicated to advancing equitable, student-centered education. Dr. Basta’s research focuses on social-emotional learning and its impact on teaching and learning.
Sherika Casseus
Sherika Casseus is an education and community engagement professional dedicated to expanding opportunity through research and student development. As the Literacy Project Manager for the Aicardi Early Steps Program, she leads community partnerships, research, and evidence-based literacy initiatives that empower elementary students to become confident readers and lifelong learners.
